I found these growing on dead Birch the other day, are they Glistening Ink Caps, or something else entirely?

I think they are the very early fruiting body stage of Polyporus tuberaster.

Hello, my first request for help. These are growing on telegraph pole in South Gloucestershire. Distorted Dryad's saddle fungus?? Edges were folded under so I couldn't see the underside. Many thanks. David
