Dave , i think it was the 5th last evening . A bit silly with Lord of the Eagles , but the programme has to be of interest to the young ones logging in for the first time , and it could lighten the tone . Mind you , all i seem to remember at the moment is the giggling and daft jokes Iolo is good and i actually like Gillian better than Michaela who spend most of the time bouncing and gesticulating Anyway , i'll be watching this evening and might catch up with yesterdays as i wasn't really concentrating .. i was looking through the pics from Slimbridge

I agree ,Jen the LOTW piece was only saved by the magnificent birds and the info from CP about the science behind their amazing vision still can't "get" the "awww ,cute " and "sadness about predation " stuff ... I record all the shows and will hopefully go back to relive my favourite bits I even enjoyed the clip about the elderly artist ....great works ..

Yes i like his work very much , have seen the books for sale in Waterstones but as yet , not bought any ... i seem to have so many other books My room has decreased in width by about 2 ' all round with all the book shelves ... thanks to NUK no , not all the blame can be pinned on here Loved the info and behaviour re the eagles and am fascinated at the goings on between the Little Owls and the Blackbirds .. i'm a bit worried about the little owl chicks

Managed the second episode last night. I was astonished at a scene with some Coots being so aggressive, in fact when a Sparrowhawk threatened their nest the pair of Coots attacked it and pushed it under water until it drowned

We haven't managed to catch any programmes yet, so much other recorded stuff to get through . I think we'll wait for Autumnwatch to come around instead

I enjoyed the piece on the nesting Long-eared Owls, something that you will pretty much never see in the wild yourself.

Great screen shot Dave, they are featuring some good nests this year.
All in all its been a good 2 weeks but some bits just on one subject have been a bit lengthy. I have enjoyed Lolo presenting

I missed most of the first week due to lack of TV signal when I was away but I've been watching again now that I'm home. I'm not all that keen on either Michaela or Gillian. I'd like to see a team of Chris, Iolo and Martin.

not missed an episode , Dave .....live or a delayed broadcast still enjoying it mostly but there are the odd moments that irritate a bit . btw , I spotted MHG ( sporting ANOTHER hair style )on the panel show "curious creatures" on BBC2 ,along with Kate Humble and CP .....didn't watch it all but it looked interesting enough ....quite informative

Mixed reviews I think,I haven't enjoyed it as much as usual and found us fast forwarding quite a lot of it. I agree with Ann about the presenters, the changes don't seemed to have worked

I also agree, not overly keen on the presenting team but not totally sure who would fit better. Some of the articles were good and others not so good so a mixed bag overall for me really.

Dare I say it but I don't miss Martin...I thought he could get a bit annoying.....Love Chris and Iolo......... Lucy Cooke was good too Michaela's silliness is really starting to make me cringe

I liked Lucy Cooke too, Paula. She had a much more natural way of speaking.

For the first time in years I watched all of it live and enjoyed most of it, Michaela can be a bit ditzy at times, but overall is quite bearable. I quite liked the idea of a guest presenter for a week, it seemed to work quite well, maybe Simon King next time?
I don't like the idea of going to the US for Autumnwatch, hopefully we'll still get the normal UK Autumnwatch, but it sounded as though it was just going to be the US one which I won't be watching.
