I saw this on the TV last night. It seems such an obvious thing to do, hoping more sites are managed like this

Wouldn't it be fantastic to see more fields like this.

Wouldn't it just, and then watch the species roll in.

Isn't that great news , Dave All these small parcels of crop growing spaces are worth their weight in gold . I listened to Adam Henson's suggestion of an Agricultural GCSE , which sounds a fantastic idea . Trouble is , i then reminded myself of the huge fields and machinery he has , having dug up acres of hedging and created a prairie i hope he doesn't develop the syllabus

Wouldn't it be terrific if all farmers felt like that but with the need to grow large areas of crops it isn't always possible these days.

There lies the main issue i think Jen and Eric, the population of the UK is far too high given the size of the country and really we should not be any more than 40 million, we cannot keep expanding at the current rate because there will be more mouths to feed, more land to have to grow crops on, a greater reliance of cheaper imports from abroad (putting UK jobs and manufacturers at risk or out of business) and more green space lost to housing, putting our native wildlife at risk.
