Hi Pam , i'm sure your first is oilseed rape as Dave says ,..... it's an absolute pest along the hedgerows now , and worse in the future i expect The second does look like Lovage to me

Hi Jen, thanks for the confirmation on the Oilseed Rape & the Lovage. I was a bit confused by Scoots, first 2 photos & wondered if they were the same, (my excuse!)

The 1st 2 of Scoot's photos, I agree with Jenny, it's Flax. I'm pretty sure the next 2 are Pignut from what I can see of the leaves - with any umbellifer it's usually a good idea to photograph the leaves, really helps with ID.
The next 2 are a type of Rose, but exactly which one is much harder to say (for me at least) and I agree with Pam on the last 2 - Guelder Rose.

We`ve decided my 2nd one that was pictured with the Oilseed Rape is Field Pennycress

I was looking for Yarrow for the Summer Challenge. I found this then had my doubts. Would someone confirm please?

That looks like Hogweed Eric. I've a photo of Yarrow below taken last year. It can range from white to the pink colour in my photo and is only 12 to 14 inches tall at the most. The flower head is quite compact and although it looks similar, it isn't an umbellifer.

Eric, it's Lady's Bedstraw - Galium verum. I'm seeing loads of it over here on Tiree.
