I read that in The Guardian, Dave. I think the whole thing is brutal especially as there is so much doubt that it affects bovine TB anyway.

It just seems to be another reckless attempt by Ministers to try and show the public that they are trying to do good in the world, without definitive proof that the actions they are proposing to do actually have an effect. The contention surrounding this decision does not support this widespread culling process, so why can't they stop and do proper research first

I agree with all that has been said so far, surely if the scientific evidence pointed towards a cull being ineffective then why on earth go down that path, especially when vaccination has worked effectively in other areas.
