Number 3 Hazel might be an aged Rhodocollybia maculata but the gill colour doesn't quite fit, i'll look into it further.

Number 6 Hazel is likely to be Armillaria mellea.

Dave , do you think this a fungi or a mould ? or , because i can't find anything similar , could it be staining from a metal .. say a nail ?

Is that the effect of Green Oak Fungus which 'stains' the wood green? If so, there might be some small Elf Cup shaped fungi on the wood surface but actually finding fruiting bodies is a matter of luck and good timing.

Ooo i wonder if it is , Geoff . I wasn't aware of any of the little elf cups you mention , but if i go back very soon ,they might have appeared . .. and keep my eyes open for any other pieces of similar wood .. thanks

Geoff is spot on, it is the green staining of Chlorociboria aeruginascens/Chlorociboria aeruginosa.
