Hi Joe.
I can't quite see enough of the antennae tips so i'll zoom in and try to enhance that part to see if they are dark/black or light brown.

Thanks, Dave. I will go back to the original photos and see if I can provide better images of the antennae.

I saw this little butterfly yesterday and am hoping it is a Brown Argus but knowing my luck it is a female Common Blue.

I'd go with Common Blue female, Grayling. I can't see the black spot on the forewing and there is white in the lunules on the hindwing fringe.

Your suspicions were right, Grayling (sorry). It is a Common Blue rather than Brown Argus. Your second photo is perfect for identification purposes as it shows the forewing spot which isn't present in Brown Argus.

Hi Dave, not quite a moth, but can you confirm that this is a silver washed fritillary? Found in a Derbyshire quarry.
Thanks.

I would say so Joe, those antennal tips look dark enough for me. Nice find.
