A few recent ones These I saw a few weeks ago down at Medmerry, on the West Sussex coast seen in a wildflower rich verge close to arable land. These are two separate individuals but I think that they are both a Xysticus species? Agalenatea redii? Larinioides cornutus? # This one I saw yesterday on the sandy path at Thursley Common, Surrey and I think it might be Philodromus_collinus?

Yes, two Xysticus, I can't say which, but they could well be cristatus the commonest species
Then two Larinioides, almost certainly cornutus.
The Philodromus could well be collinus, but they're not a group I know well. The few I've checked have been more common species, not collinus. It's a smart looking spider.

Is this Tegenaria domestic? Dark bands on legs are confusing me-among other things. What part of the country was this? I now think this is Liocranum rupicola but it's only found in the West (Wales, Somerset / Devon / Avon etc) which is why I'm not familiar with it.

Thank you Alan I can now see that 3 and 4 are both Larinioides

This little fella has been hanging out watching me on the laptop.....Salticidae perhaps...I wondered if it was a Jumping Spider (Evarcha arcuata) I think it's a male Sitticus pubescens. Not totally sure though.

It might be cristatus but how have you decided it isn't kochi(which is very similar to cristatus) or bifasciatus or lanio (which is very reddish). I think Xysticus sp. is as far as you can go.

Thank you salticus. I did look at images of several species but couldn't narrow it down so plumped for the commonest.
